Seville will host the ninth edition of BioSpain, a biennial meeting for the Spanish biotechnology sector. This year the event will be run by the Spanish Bioindustry Association (ASEBIO) and the Regional Government of Andalusia. The last time the meeting was held, in 2016, BioSpain was attended by 800 companies from 29 countries, and played host to 3,000 one-to-one meetings between participants and potential partners or investors.

The event will be held from 25 to 27 September and will feature a trade exhibition and an investment forum for biotech investors. The meeting also offers a series of conferences on all the latest developments in the industry, with a focus on the biomedical, agri-food and industrial sectors. BioSpain is primarily aimed at investors, representatives from biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, managers and researchers from universities and research centres, and other professionals working in the industry.
